Happy Leopard Release Day!

OS 10.5 is offically released today and the reviews are pouring in. So far there’s a unanimous “Sweet” from the tech community. Though not “revolutionary,” it is certainly “evolutionary,” according to the Wall Street Journal’s very own, Walt Mossberg. There’s going to be a “Leopard release party” at the UCI Computer store tonight where all the geeks will gather. I would go, but I don’t have a Mac.

Which brings me to my experiment for the next week. I recently installed Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibson) on my laptop and I have a theory that this version of Ubuntu might be finally polished enough to actually replace Microsoft Windows. It’s been 2 days so far and I’m loving it. Let’s see if I survive the coming days.
